Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are developing intergovernmental cooperation in the sphere of space research and technologies.

Delegation of the Uzbekspace Agency have been to the Republic of Kazakhstan on a working visit

The delegation of the Agency of Space Research and Technology under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan visited the Republic of Kazakhstan and got acquainted with the objects of space infrastructure of Kazakhstan. During the visit, Acting Director General of the Uzbekspace Agency Shukhrat Kadyrov held talks in the field of space activities with the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bagdat Musin.

During the meeting, the parties discussed proposals to expand cooperation in the field of space activities using the capabilities of the Kazakhstan satellite communication system, and a proposal was made to create a joint venture to provide services of the Kazsat satellite communication and broadcasting system on the territory of Uzbekistan.

The parties also discussed the Memorandum Of Understanding on cooperation in the exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan. As a result of working meetings and negotiations the implementation of promising projects was signed as well as the Protocol on intention of cooperation in the field of space activities between the Aerospace Committee of the Ministry of digital development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Agency of Space Research and Technology under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the visit, the delegation of the Uzbekspace Agency and a number of leading enterprises of the Republic of Kazakhstan held the meeting to discuss issues of training and internship of Uzbek specialists in the framework of joint projects and prospects for cooperation in the space sector.
