On October 7 of this year, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan discussed the status of ongoing projects for the digitalization of the agricultural sector.
It was attended by Adviser to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Head of the Department for the Development of IT Technologies, Telecommunications and Innovation Activities Umarov Olimjon Mukhamadjanovich, responsible leaders and employees of the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications, as well as the Ministry of Agriculture.
The event was attended by the director of The Space Research and Technology Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan Kadirov Shukhrat Munavvarovich.
The meeting highlighted the introduction of modern information systems and software in the field of agriculture and food security, in particular, for the control and planning of agricultural areas, remote monitoring of the state of crop yields.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on the development of mutually beneficial cooperation and the implementation of joint projects in this direction.
