"Space - from infinity to business" – meeting with foreign experts

On December 1, 2021 at 14:00 at the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, The Space Research and Technology Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the “Uzaerospace” enterprise organized a meeting entitled “Space - from infinity to business”.

The event was attended by specially invited foreign experts from the space industry Anastasia Stepanova and Vitaly Egorov, representatives of the Agency, students, university faculty and media staff.

For reference: Anastasia Stepanova is a member of the crews of the international space projects Mars-160 and Sirius-19, the first female tester in the dry immersion experiment, an engineer at the Institute of Biomedical Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Vitaly Egorov is a blogger, popularizer of cosmonautics (Zelenykot), popular science writer, founder of the Open Space community, winner of the Fidelity to Science Award 2019, co-founder and director of communications at the private company Orbital Express, former press officer of a number of Russian private space companies.

At the meeting, presentations were made by foreign experts on familiarization with the space sphere, on the activities of experts in the given sphere, their personal life experience, and that at present ample opportunities are being created in the field for representatives of the private sector.

Representatives of the Uzbekkosmos agency provided detailed information about the "Discovery Day Uzbekistan" conference held in Tashkent jointly with the companies "Maxar Technologies", "Esri" and "SpaceX". The specialists also shared the experience of the Republic of Belarus on the practical use of space technologies in emergency situations and remote sensing of the Earth.

The specialists of the sphere gave comprehensive answers to the questions of interest to the participants.

It should be noted that The Space Research and Technologies Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan is establishing interaction with a number of foreign universities and industry experts to increase interest in the space industry, train personnel in this direction and improve their qualifications abroad.
