On December 3 of this year, a meeting was held between representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the Agency for Space Research and Technology under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, Director General of the Agency for Space Research and Technologies under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shukhrat Kadyrov spoke about the main directions of the agency's activities, measures taken to develop the space industry in Uzbekistan, in particular, to train qualified personnel in this area.

Major General Shukhrat Khalmukhamedov, First Deputy Defense Minister - Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, spoke about the modern appearance of the national army and the ongoing reforms in this area.

Following the meeting, an agreement on bilateral cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Defense and the Uzbekkosmos Agency in order to ensure the security of the Republic, further increase its defense potential, and effectively use space technologies in this area.
