Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan signed an agreement on cooperation in the exploration and use of outer space

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev held talks with the participation of members of the official delegations of the two countries.

The presidents paid priority attention to strengthening trade and economic cooperation, including increasing mutual trade, attracting investments, developing cooperation in the spheres of industry, agriculture, construction, and transport. Interaction in water-energy and cultural-humanitarian spheres was also discussed.

In addition, in the presence of the heads of state, members of official delegations signed a number of documents, including an agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on cooperation in the exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes.

Following the negotiations, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev signed a Declaration between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan on allied relations.
