The “Союз” carrier rocket was launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome. The rocket will deliver the Progress MS-19 cargo spacecraft into orbit, which is due to dock with the International Space Station in two days. Automatic docking is scheduled for the morning of 17 February.

The cargo compartment of the spacecraft contains over one and a half tons of equipment and materials, including service equipment, a cable for retrofitting the "Наука" multi-purpose laboratory module, clothes, food and water for the ISS crew members, fuel, compressed nitrogen and other cargo.
