In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. LRU-562 “On guarantees with respect to equal rights and opportunities for women and men”, state bodies provide for the creation of advisory councils on ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men.

In order to ensure the implementation of this law, the Advisory Council on Gender Equality has been established under the Agency for Space Research and Technology under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and is functioning effectively.

On May 19 of this year, the 2nd Working Group under the Committee of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Women and Gender Equality studied the activities of this Advisory Council, established in the Uzbekcosmos agency.

During the study, the activities of the Advisory Council on ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men in a state body, ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men, the availability, systematic collection and analysis of statistical data and information on gender were considered. Based on the monitoring results, the Agency's activities were assessed positively.
