NASA International Space Apps Challenge 2022, which was held in Uzbekistan for the first time, has determined its winners

On October 1-2 of this year, for the first time in the capital's INNO Texnopark building, a Hackathon was held, which has been held by NASA since 2012, and determined its winners.

For two days, the youth of Uzbekistan tested their knowledge, potential, and abilities in the field of space research and technology.

The project's main goal is to find a solution to the most pressing problems of space by participants using open NASA data with a new approach and perspective. The purpose of the hackathon is to increase the general public's interest in space knowledge. During the hackathon, the teams demonstrated their vision through their projects to promote space exploration missions and solve problems of improving life on Earth.

Following the results of the competition, the jury awarded three winners, in addition, teams with two incentive prizes, as well as participants who were the youngest at the hackathon, received prizes from sponsors.

Based on the results of the nomination:

Nomination "Best scientific and technical project" - teams "COSMOTEAM" and "Power sun limit” ;

Nomination "Best educational project" – “Team Zero”;

"Young Space Engineers" - Alexey Kramer, Vladimir Soy, Saiddiyar Sobirov.

Three teams that won the hackathon SpaceY, Astrea, and AvacadOS won a ticket to participate in the international NASA competition on behalf of Uzbekistan.

Recall that this event was organized in cooperation with the agency "Uzbekkosmos", NASA, the Uzbek Agency for Youth Affairs, the Ministry of Innovative Development, the Private Educational School "Magic", "Technopark INNO", "Universal Bank", "IT Park"  and "International Digital University".
