At the meeting with the UN Office for Outer Space Affairs, detailed information was provided on the work carried out within the framework of the UN Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space, and prospects for cooperation within this committee were also discussed.
In particular, issues of cooperation in the following areas were considered: the UN SPIDER program related to the use of space technologies for the prevention and elimination of emergency situations, Kibo Cube project, providing advisory support on the development of legislation on space activities for new space agencies, capacity building programs, possibility of scientific research.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached on expanding cooperation. In addition, it was proposed to consider the possibility of creating a regional support center in Uzbekistan within the framework of the UN SPIDER program, organize seminars for the Central Asian region and actively participate in the activities of the Committee.
