Specialists from the Republic of Uzbekistan and South Korea are implementing space projects

On February 16, 2020, the first meeting of the Uzbek-South Korean working group on the implementation of joint projects in the field of research and use of space for peaceful purposes was held in the format of a video conference with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in South Korea.
The event was attended by specialists of the Uzbekspace Agency, the Ministry of Science and Information and Communication Technologies of the Republic of Korea, the Korean Institute of Aerospace Research (KARI) and South Korean officials working with SI Imaging Services. The parties discussed issues of further enhancing cooperation in the field of space research and use of space for peaceful purposes, and also identified the most priority areas for further cooperation.
In the future, it is planned to organize short-and long-term training courses for Uzbek specialists in the field of space research and use of space for peaceful purposes, including master's courses, in educational institutions of South Korea.
