State Space Monitoring

The State Space Monitoring is carried out in accordance with the State Space Monitoring program for 2023-2024, approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan №PD-429 dated November 23, 2022 “On additional measures for the further development of the space network”.

The main directions of the Program:

In the field of agriculture - determination of the current condition of land in agriculture, types of crops (cotton and wheat) and the actual areas of crops on the acreage and identification illegal use of agricultural land and illegally constructed buildings. In 2023, works are being carried out in Samarkand and Fergana regions, in 2024 the number of regions will increase to 8.

In the field of land relations – identification illegal occupation of land and illegal construction of buildings.  In 2023, work is being carried out in Tashkent, Syrdarya, Jizzak, Bukhara, Samarkand and Fergana regions, and in 2024 it is planned to cover all regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In the field of forestry - determining the boundaries of areas covered by forests, identifying cases of illegal occupation of land and construction of illegal buildings on the lands of the forest fund. In 2023, work is being carried out in Samarkand, Fergana, Jizzak, Tashkent and Andijan regions, in 2024 the number of regions will increase to 8.

In the field of geology - identification of cases of illegal use of subsurface resources and natural resource areas. In 2023-2024 it is planned to include all regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan in our program.

In the field of ecology - identification of landfills that have breached licence boundaries and new illegal waste zones, identification of illegal occupation of lands, illegal construction of buildings in specially protected natural territories and identification of areas affected by forest fires. In 2023, work is being carried out in Syrdarya, Khorezm, Bukhara, Jizzakh, Tashkent and Samarkand regions. In 2024, the program will cover 12 regions of the Republic.

In the field of water resources - identification of cases of illegal occupation of land, illegal construction of buildings in water protection zones, monitoring of reservoir siltation dynamics and water level regime in reservoirs. By the end of 2023, space monitoring will be carried out at 25 reservoirs of the Republic of Uzbekistan. This measure will be applied to 35 reservoirs of the republic in 2024.
