On March 9 this year, the Agency for Space Research and Technology under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a ceremony of signing an agreement on mutual cooperation on the introduction of space technologies and a space monitoring system into the activities of the Ministry of Agriculture.

The documents were signed by the Director General of the Uzbekcosmos Agency Shukhrat Kadirov and the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Kakhramon Yuldashev.

Within the framework of cooperation between the parties, it is envisaged:

- Implementation of projects related to the introduction of space technologies and space monitoring systems in the activities of the Ministry of Agriculture;

- Provision of satellite images in order to increase the efficiency of the tasks assigned to the Ministry of Agriculture;

- Implementation of a system of space monitoring on agricultural lands and sown areas in the context of one region or district of the republic.

As a result of the event, an agreement was reached on the preparation of an action plan for the organization of seminars, the implementation of joint projects and other tasks.
