What are NASA Space Apps?

NASA International Space Apps Challenge (Space Apps) is an international hackathon for programmers, scientists, designers, creators, builders, technologists, and other industry representatives in cities around the world, where teams can use free and open data from NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) to solve problems on Earth and in space.
