Online negotiations were held between the UK Space Agency and the Uzbekkosmos Agency

An online meeting was held between representatives of the UK Space Agency (UKSA) and the Space Research and Technology Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Uzbekkosmos) in order to establish cooperation and implement joint projects in the field of space technologies.

Representatives of the Uzbekkosmos Agency spoke about the large-scale reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan to develop the telecommunications and space sectors, introduce innovative technologies in various sectors of the economy, regulate the scope of unmanned aerial vehicles, and train personnel.

The British side informed about the UK strategy in the field of developing new space technologies, conducting scientific research and developing the economy in the field of space exploration.

During the dialogue, the parties agreed to explore the possibility of implementing the following projects in the near future:

- the possibility of introducing British developments (space technologies, devices and applications) in the branches of the economy of Uzbekistan;

- advanced training of Uzbek specialists with the support of British companies and universities.

Representatives of UKSA are also invited to participate in the 1st Regional Space Technology Conference scheduled for May 10-11 this year. in Tashkent.

Following the talks, the parties noted their readiness to develop mutually beneficial relations and cooperation.
