Comprehensive reforms are being carried out in the Aral Sea region aimed at radically improving the environmental situation, accelerating the socio-economic development of the region and improving the standard of living and incomes of the population.

In order to improve the ecosystem in the dried-up part of the Aral Sea, to introduce the best practices of research and innovation, the International Innovation Center of the Aral Sea under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the United Nations Multilateral Partnership Trust Fund in the field of human security for the Aral Sea region were established, and a special resolution of the United Nations General Assembly was adopted.

Representatives of the Uzbekcosmos agency held a meeting with specialists of the German Aviation and Cosmonautics Center (DLR) within the framework of the Eco-Aral project. The parties discussed the extensive use of space technology capabilities and future cooperation in the implementation of the project. At the same time, an agreement was reached on the sustainable and effective economic development of the Aral Sea region and its comprehensive support.
